How to send custom push notifications on Firebase

To send a push notification through Firebase we use topics, please ensure that you are acquainted with the topics used for your church or business, you can follow these steps:

  1. Login into your Firebase Console using your church google account.
  2. Click on the “Cloud Messaging” option in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the “Send your first message” button.
  4. In the “Message Target” section, select the “Topic” option.
  5. In the “Topic name” field, enter the name of the topic that you want to send the push notification to.
  6. In the “Message Text” section, enter the message that you want to send.
  7. Customize the notification options as desired, including the title, body, and image of the notification.
  8. Review and ensure that all information is spelt correctly and accurate, then,
  9. Click on the “Send” button to send the notification to all devices subscribed to the specified topic.
