To set up OpenLP with OBS Studio, follow these steps:
- Install and open OBS Studio on your computer.
- In OBS Studio, click on the “+” button under Sources to add a new source.
- Select “Window Capture” from the list of sources.
- In the Window Capture properties, choose “OpenLP” from the “Window” dropdown menu. If OpenLP is not in the list, make sure it is running and try again.
- Adjust the position and size of the OpenLP window within the OBS Studio canvas as needed.
- In OpenLP, go to the “Settings” menu and select “Remote”.
- Make sure the “Enable remote control” checkbox is selected.
- Choose a remote protocol and port. The default protocol is “TCP” and the default port is “4316”. You can change these if necessary, but make note of the values you choose.
- Click “Apply” and then “OK” to save the remote settings.
- In OBS Studio, click on the “+” button under Sources again.
- This time, select “Browser” from the list of sources.
- In the Browser properties, enter the URL for the OpenLP remote control interface. By default, this is “http://localhost:4316“.
- Adjust the position and size of the Browser window within the OBS Studio canvas as needed.
- Click “OK” to save the Browser properties.
That’s it! You should now be able to control OpenLP from within OBS Studio and display your slides or other media on your stream or recording.
